NDC membership completes discussion on Southern Issue group report

24 June 2013 /

On Monday at the NDC, discussions on the Southern Issue Working Group’s first session final report were completed.

During Monday’s meeting, attended by the NDC’s full membership body, representatives of political parties and organizations took notes on the report.

The nine working groups are set to resume meetings and discussions and will begin by reviewing NDC members’ notes on reports presented at the second plenary session.

Earlier in the week, the NDC Consensus Committee directed working groups to form technical subcommittees which will be tasked with handling notes taken by the respective groups’ members. Later, these notes and revisions will be voted on within each working group.

The subcommittees will also hold meetings within every working group to discuss notes presented during the plenary session, in accordance with guidelines and standards set by the Consensus Committee.

The committee also decided that each working group should resume holding full daily meetings starting on Tuesday, June 29.

Next week, a vote is expected to take place on the final decisions included in the nine working groups’ first session final reports.
