Bin Mubarak delivers lecture on NDC in Washington, D.C.

On Thursday, NDC Secretary General Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak delivered a lecture on the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies (NESA) in Washington, D.C.  

In the lecture, a spotlight was placed on the conference’s stages, on the dynamics of the NDC’s working groups, and on NDC field visits and community participation efforts.

Furthermore, bin Mubarak highlighted the mechanisms which dictate the working group’s activities and spoke about the groups’ respective first session reports, which are being presented at the conference’s second plenary session.

The NDC Secretary General said the NDC was proceeding positively and with optimism and pointed to the significance of the international community’s role in supporting NDC activities. He added that such efforts took the form of political and technical support, as well as donor pledges and support for Yemen’s political transition.

Bin Mubarak later stressed the importance of drawing up a roadmap for the period following the conclusion of the National Dialogue Conference.

In attendance for the event was an audience of politicians, research center directors, academicians and legal professionals.
