7 July 2013 /

President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi chaired a meeting of the NDC’s Presidency on Sunday and expressed pleasure over successful results from the NDC’s working groups. He also praised efforts from the NDC’s Presidency in achieving stated aims for the conference.

In the meeting, Hadi briefed members of the Presidency on recent developments in the country, including acts of sabotage which target oil pipelines and electricity pylons, in addition to other crimes which he said aimed to affect the NDC’s progress.

“I can assure all that the NDC will never be affected by such acts, especially when it is receiving international support at regional, international and United Nations levels,” said Hadi.

Hadi called on political factions, including all within their fold, to work hard and with devotion to bring the country to safety. He added that such an approach would bring the country to a better future, and one that meets the aspirations of Yemen’s youth.

“By putting the country’s interests above all else, achieving alignment by way of the NDC, and leaving the painful past behind, we have produced an amazing model for the Middle East,” he added.

Meanwhile, a final meeting on NDC working groups’ first NDC session results and recommendations is expected to be held shortly.
