
On Sunday, NDC Secretary General Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak praised efforts by the Ministry of Endowments to support the use of dialogue to resolve problems. He added that dialogue had been utilized in such ways throughout the course of Yemeni history.
bin Mubarak made the comments in a speech delivered at an opening ceremony for the Second Forum of Clergy and Religious Scholars.
During his speech, he also said that the National Dialogue represented an historic opportunity to move away from the use of conflict to solve problems.
The NDC Secretary General said that 70% of working groups' aims had been achieved, while other groups, including those focused on the southern and Sa'ada issues were now seeking issues to specific problems.
The forum, which aimed to provide support for the NDC, was organized by Yemeni Ministry of Endowments, was attended by 120 participants from July 14 - 16.
