Members of the NDC Southern Issue Working Groups approved unanimously the nomination of Khaled Baras, the candidate of the Southern Movement component in the NDC, to be the chairman of the Southern Issue Working Group.

This came during a meeting attended on Tuesday by NDC Vice President Yassin Makkawi where the group 's members discussed the final report of the 16 Sub-Committee, tasked with finding solutions to the Southern Issue, on solutions and guarantees of the southern issue.

Notes and recommendations by the group's members were presented during the discussion.
