President Hadi receives UN envoy to Yemen

President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Sunday the Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Yemen, Jamal Benomar.

At the meeting, Hadi reviewed with Benomar the latest progress on the Yemeni ground along with the outcomes of the NDC, which is about to conclude after achieving the require success in particular after signing of the Just Solution to solve the southern issue by all political components participating in the NDC.

Hadi confirmed on Yemen's keenness to overcome all challenges and to make the NDC a success, saying that the NDC is representing the core of change and its outcomes would draw the features of the future and the road of the national work in the basis of Yemeni people's choices to build a new Yemen based on freedom, justice, and good governance.

He also praised all efforts made by the UN envoy to Yemen in the way of making the NDC a success along with the support of the United Nations to the political settlement in Yemen based on the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism backed by the UN Security Council resolution No. 2014 and 2051.

Benomar reiterated the UN's support along with the international community to Yemen in order to succeed the political settlement in Yemen and the NDC which pin hopes on to draw features of a new future of Yemen.
