President Hadi receives figures from Hadhramout, Shabwa, al-Mahara and Socotra governorates

President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Sunday a number of academies, members of Yemen's National Dialogue Conference, tribal leaders, dignitaries, politicians and intellectuals from Hadhramout, Shabwa, al-Mahara and Socotra governorates.

Hadi at the meeting reviewed with them a number of issues and topics related to the current situation in the country, stressing the need to bear the responsibility and to be ready to work for a bright future.

He talked about problems, crisis, and obstacles that Yemen has suffered from since the revolutions of September and October, saying that there is a lot of projects in infrastructure, water, power, health, education were hindered for these problems.

Hadi singled out that Yemen had engaged in conflicts with the aim of controlling power, stressing the importance of creating a new governance system in which all people share power and resources.

The President pointed out that experts and advisors considering the federal system the best type for achieving  prosperity, success, and development in the country under the umbrella of democracy and unity.

Hadi strongly criticized all claims of people who said that the federal system could fragment Yemen, saying most of those people only think about their own narrow interests.

Moreover, the President said that Yemen has experienced several kinds of crisis before and after the unification until the eruption of 2011's crisis, noting that the GCC-brokered deal averted the country from dragging into war and divisions.

"We know all that not only the army, security forces and community were divided but also all political and societal powers in the country divided as well,'' Hadi said. He added due to great efforts of political forces, Yemen could overcome those crises and repercussions.

The President stated that UN Security Council, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the European Union and the five permanent members of the UN adopted the Gulf initiative and offered great contribution at various levels in order to make the transitional phase a success.

He appreciated all efforts made by them in order to move Yemen out of its critical circumstances and to implement the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, saying that the NDC represents a unique model through gathering all political powers in the country with exception and marginalization.

He added that the NDC outcomes would represent a new era and bright future in Yemen's modern history.

Furthermore, the President explained that federal regions would be distributed in the basis of modern and practical means, putting an end to sectarianism, racism and discrimination.

Hadi affirmed that by restoring security and stability in the country, Yemen could take benefit of its huge resources, saying that Yemen has various resources of gas, oil, gold, copper, zinc and cooper all over the country.

"The federal system would dry up all resources of corruption and under this system Yemen could consolidate its security and stability and fight the terrorism,'' he said.

''All international community topped by the UN five permanent members are supporting this option which would preserve Yemen's unity and its democracy,'' the President added.
