The Group of Ten Ambassadors  were horrified to hear about the assassination of NDC member Dr. Ahmed Sharafeddin this morning, 21 January.  The Group of Ten condemns any acts of violence of this nature and actions by individuals and factions that seek to disrupt the political transition.

 The Ambassadors urge all parties to refrain for any retaliatory acts and to respect the rule of law. 

 The Group of Ten Ambassadors urges the Yemeni government to take all necessary security measures to prevent this kind of  violence that poisons the political atmosphere.
