In a statement released by the GCC's delegation in Yemen on Tuesday, the GCC hailed the successful conclusion of Yemen's National Dialogue Conference and the national consensus which reflected the endorsement by the NDC political and societal components of the NDC Guarantees' document, along with final statement.
The statement commended the leadership and determination of President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the delegates of the conference for bringing it to a successful conclusion.
The statement also confirmed the GCC's keenness to provide support for Yemen during the transitional process until reaching the desire security, noting that the GCC's states would participate in the NDC closing ceremony, scheduled to be held on January 25, with high-level diplomatic and political delegates.
Meanwhile, the statement also strongly condemned the assassination of Ahmed Sharaf al-Din, the Ansar Allah delegate to the Conference in Sana’a and the assassination attempt targeting the Islah Party Secretary General's son, saying those acts of crimes would not stop the Yemeni people and delegates to the NDC from moving forward to build Yemen's modern state and to implementing the NDC outcomes.
