21 January 2014 /

The NDC final plenary session approved on Tuesday unanimously the NDC Final Document after voting on the guarantees to implement the NDC outcomes and the final statement.

Abdul Malik al-Mekhlafi the head of the committee, tasked with receiving and absorbing notes from political components on drafts of the NDC final document as well as guarantees to implement the NDC outcomes, reviewed the tasks of the committee and decisions taken by the committee during the last three days.

The committee is composed of 18 members, based on a nomination by heads of the NDC political components.

He said that all members of the committee signed the guarantees' document to implement the NDC outcomes, with the exception of the representative of Ansar Allah, Ahmed Sharaf al-Din, who was assassinated this morning.

"Due to health condition of Sharaf al-Din, he couldn't come yesterday to sign the document. We called him this morning where he confirmed that he was en route to attend the NDC final plenary session and to sign on the document,'' said al-Mekhlafi.

Al-Mekhlafi added that the death of Sharaf al-Din should not be exploited and everyone will have to work through making the NDC a success, which reflects the goal of  Sharaf al-Din himself.

The NDC member and representative of Ansar Allah, Abdul Kareem al-Khayani, read during the session a statement where he confirmed that Ansar Allah's representatives came to the conference because they believe in the dialogue. He announced the withdrawal of Ansar Allah's representatives from the NDC.
