President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Monday a number of members from Yemen's National Dialogue Conference, tribal leaders, dignitaries, politicians and intellectuals from Aden, Lahj, Abyan and al-Dhalea governorates.
They congratulated President Hadi for the success of the NDC and expressed their support for all steps taken by him to achieve the remaining tasks of the transitional stage, based on the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism and backed by UNSC resolutions 2014 and 2051.
"We have achieved steps that were a dream to all the Yemeni people and that means we have overcome all challenges and obstacles,'' the President said.
Hadi expressed his confidence that the next stage will be better, in particular after the success of the NDC which represents an important and strategic stage in the way of change.
"Yemen today is facing a historic chance and we have to close the page of the past forever and open a new page toward a new Yemen and toward a bright future,'' Hadi said.
He added that the dialogue included political powers everywhere in the country. Those political powers agreed upon a new contract and a new rule for Yemen and to close all pages of conflicts based on good governance and modernity and to take benefits from other's experience in order to preserve Yemen's security, stability, and unity.
The President said that the federal system will meet the aspirations of Yemeni people in all fields of security, administration, and finance. He added that each would have its parliament and a service cabinet, with the exception of ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense which represent the sovereignty of the state.
"Each citizen would have the chance to live, move, work, and invest in any region that would provide him or her an opportunity without any condition,'' the President stated.
