President Hadi Meets with Ambassadors of Ten Countries Sponsoring the Gulf initiative

President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi met on Thursday with ambassadors of ten countries sponsoring the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism backed by the UNSC resolutions 2014 and 2051.

At the meeting, President Hadi expressed his appreciation and thanks for all efforts exerted by the ambassadors during the transitional period and the path of peaceful change in Yemen in order to get the country out of its crisis, voicing his happiness as this meeting came after the conclusion of the National Dialogue Conference.

He also highly appreciated their contributions, which reflect their countries' keenness on Yemen's security, stability, and unity.

"We held yesterday our first meeting with the committee, tasked with determining the number of regions, as first step in implementing the NDC outcomes,'' Hadi said.

He expressing his hopes to complete all tasks related to the NDC outcomes and its executive mechanism and to carry out those tasks through a specified program that includes the formation of a constitution-drafting committee and holding a referendum on the new constitution and then holding the presidential and parliamentary elections.

Furthermore, the president cited that centralization was behind the failure of development projects and unfair sharing of resources, reaffirming that the economic and development administration will modernized and services will be provided to all Yemenis.

He said that the efforts of ten ambassadors represent a great importance, which lead to achieving all successes.

For their part, the ambassadors of ten countries congratulated President Hadi on the successful conclusion of NDC, stressing that they would continue their support to him in order to complete the remaining tasks and until reaching to desired goals.
