Armed Forces' Spokesman Saeed al-Fakeh said on Thursday that the NDC outcomes would undoubtedly establish a modern civil state that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security and stability.
Al-Fakeh indicated in a statement made to the NDC Media Center that after 50 years of Yemen's revolutions, Yemenis have been struggling to reach a high level of freedom. This can be produced by the NDC outcomes.
"In terms of the NDC outcomes concerning the army and security, those outcomes would move armed and security forces to a new stage based on national and scientific bases,'' he added.
He noted that the NDC Army and Security Working Group clearly determined the neutrality of the armed forces, confirming their stand by all political forces in order to implement the NDC outcomes.
Al-Fakeh stated that the current constitution stipulates that the armed forces must stay far away from all kinds of partisan, sectarian and regional affiliations.
He concluded that the NDC outcomes concerning armed and security forces prohibit any partisan activities as well as prohibit any entity, group or party from owning military forces.
