A number of Yemeni youths said on Wednesday that the outcomes' document of the National Dialogue Conference has realized their hopes and met their aspirations.

In short statements made to the NDC Media Center, they considered allocating 20% of the three branches for youths along with establishing consultant councils for young people in the country as the most important gains made by the NDC.

Nora al-Shami said that the NDC outcomes achieved the hopes of Yemeni youths but that it needs more time to be implemented on the ground.

Al-Shami added that that the most important gains made by the NDC for the youth were allowing them to be involved in the coming political process in the three branches with a 20% quota.

She also noted that youths would have a chance for training and rehabilitation in order to build political, economic, social, and cultural capacity, in addition to establishing microfinance banks to finance youths' projects.

"The NDC outcomes reached by the nine working groups realized our hopes and aspirations for the future,'' Bassem al-Hakemi said.

He pointed out that those outcomes met the aspirations of Yemeni young people, especially through outcomes concerning fair solutions to the Southern and Sa'ada issues as well as laying the bases to build a national army.

He also mentioned that the NDC outcomes ensure equal opportunities for everyone and all Yemeni people are equal before the law. "The reparations for all victims of war as well as providing jobs and alleviating poverty and unemployment are good outcomes reached by the NDC,'' he concluded.

Mubarak al-Najar said the NDC outcomes achieved all demands of youths and reflected their hopes to build a civil modern state.

"The NDC outcomes' document is a roadmap and a plan to build Yemen's modern state based on justice, equality, and equal citizenship,'' he stated.
