President Hadi Attends Conference of Interior Ministry's Leadership

President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi attended on Tuesday the opening session of the 22nd Conference of Interior Ministry's Leadership.

After welcoming the attendees, he praised all efforts made by the leaders of the Interior Ministry to maintain security and stability all over Yemen.

Hadi said that the spirit of sacrifice made ​​by all security service personnel and armed forces requires that everyone, officials and citizens alike, stand by them because they maintain Yemen's security, stability, and the national unity.

He described all terrorist acts made by terrorist militants in Sana'a, Hadhramout and Shabwa provinces as conspiracies which aim to destroy security and military institutions and which aim to divide Yemen into small states based on sectarian and factional, tribal and racial bases.

"In spite of all the conspiracies Yemen can overcome all those problems with great efforts made by personnel in the two military and security institutions,'' the President said.

And he went on, "We are in a battle against forces of terror and darkness, organized crime, arms smuggling, and drug smugglers along with acts of sabotage against the nation's electric and oil infrastructures. We need to mobilize all our assets and our ability to confront these criminal acts that affect the lives of citizens and their stability and the impact on the national economy and the people's interests."

Moreover, the President called on the leadership of interior Ministry along with officials at the National Security and Political Security apparatuses to do their jobs throughout continuous and sudden inspection on departments and branches of the security in all of Yemen's provinces.

"All security officials should bear their responsibly in maintaining the citizens' security and their property from any assault or abuse,'' the President stated.

He gave his orders to the leadership of the Interior Ministry to take care of all personnel in security apparatuses during training, qualification, promotion, and their rights. He also gave orders to offer annual and periodic plans in order to raise the level of security and affiliates in general.

The President also ordered the Interior Ministry to take care of prisons while solving the problems of overcrowding in prisons among prisoners.

President Hadi also gave his orders to the government to start immediately forming the national number and civil registry, calling on the government to look for financing to fund this project, which would contribute to solving this problem and would dry up the resources of corruption.

"The Interior Ministry would bear the responsibility of implementing the NDC outcomes and moving the country's system from the palling centralization to decentralization in a new federal system base on the six-region federation,'' the President added.

He concluded his speech by saying that the political leadership would continue to provide care for these important national institutions and give it all support and effort for the sake of progress in the path of promoting its work performance.
