
On Tuesday in his office at the Presidential Palace, President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi received the ambassadors of ten countries sponsoring the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism.
Hadi reviewed with the ambassadors the latest developments in Yemen within the framework of translating the NDC outcomes on the ground as well as implementing those outcomes.
The meeting also touched upon the program of the Constitution Drafting Committee and what has been achieved so far by the committee.
Moreover, the meeting discussed the measures and steps taken regarding combating terrorism acts, which targeted vital facilities in the country along with Yemeni officers and soldiers.
The economic situation in the country was also discussed. The meeting stressed the importance of supporting Yemen in order to implement the NDC outcomes based on a federal system which would meet the needs of Yemen’s citizens.
During the meeting, Hadi called for constructive cooperation by everyone, and pointed to the importance of good preparation for the donors' conference ‘Friends of Yemen’ to be held on April 29 in London.
In this regard, Hadi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UK government and to the Saudi Arabian government for their interest in helping Yemen and for their role in preparing to hold the conference.
At the meeting, the ambassadors praised all the steps and measures that have been taken recently, saying that the circumstances in Yemen are very critical and the country needs the full cooperation of all sides in order to implement the NDC outcomes on the ground, confirming their readiness to attend the donors' conference to be a success.
