
The Constitution Drafting Committee continued its work on Sunday in a meeting led by the committee's President, Ismael al-Wazeer.
During today's session, the three working groups tasked with setting the committee's bylaws, drafts of manner, and principles, continued their work to sort the NDC outcomes to be fitted with the country's new constitution.
The Constitution Drafting Committee's First Deputy, Najeeb Shameri, said in a statement to Yemen's state-run Saba news that the NDC outcomes represent a keystone and the most important resource for the Committee's work because they are composed of legal and constitutional specifics and strategies that consider a summary of consensus among political and societal components to build Yemen's new modern state.
He confirmed that the committee will complete the initial draft of the constitution in mid-July.
