Representatives of Yemeni political parties have continued to present their understandings of the Southern and Sa’ada issues, which has led NDC executives and group members to praise the parties’ commitment to contributing to progress on key conference issues.

On Monday, Southern Movement (Herak) and Nasserite Unionist Party understandings of the ‘roots’ of the Southern Issue were presented to the NDC group which has the issue as its sole focus. Representatives from both parties explored political, economic, social and cultural themes in their analysis.

In recent days, Sa’ada Issue Working Group meetings have been the site of similar presentations. Representatives of the Yemeni Social Party, Nasserite Unionist Party, Al-Rashad Party, and Southern Movement have also presented their impressions of the root causes of problems in and around Sa’ada.

According to the chairwoman and members of the Sa’ada Issue Working Group, there were many points of convergence in the various parties’ presentations.
