United Nations Special Advisor to Yemen Jamal Benomar arrived in the capital city of Sanaa late on Monday. His visit, which is planned to last several days, fits within the framework of continued UN support for Yemen’s political transition.

Benomar will meet with President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the leaders of political parties which are participating in the National Dialogue Conference (NDC). He will also take the opportunity to acquaint himself with current NDC activities.

Accompanying Benomar are a number of foreign experts who will share their experiences and knowledge with various NDC working groups.
