
Representatives from Yemen’s government and the European Union took part in an extended meeting at the Planning and International Cooperation Ministry’s Sana’a headquarters on Wednesday.
The purpose of the meeting was for aid provided to Yemen – including funds allocated to the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) – to be discussed at length and in detail.
Afrah Al-Zouba, the NDC’s Vice Secretary General participated in the meeting..
“The meeting came as part of efforts to develop the partnership between Yemen and the European Union, as well as to make the NDC a success,” said Al-Zouba.
She added, “There was a special focus on the technical, financial and political assistance the EU is providing to the NDC.”
Among the meeting’s participants were Planning Minister Muhammad Al-Sady, Interior Minister Abdulqadir Qahtan, Fisheries Minister Awad Al-Soqotri, Supreme Commission for Referendums and Elections Chairman Muhammad Al-Hakimi, and a number of deputy ministers.
