Sa’ada group decides to pass election responsibilities over to NDC Presidency

11 May 2013 /

Members of the Sa’ada Issue Working Group met with the National Dialogue Conference’s Presidential Board on Saturday. At the meeting, the members unanimously decided to allow the Presidential Board to elect individuals to fill the group’s three vacant leadership positions.

The group members also said that if the board failed to decide the matter soon, they would suspend their activities for two days’ time.

NDC Vice President Sultan Al-Atwani expressed his understanding of the members’ decision and the challenges facing the Working Group due to the delay in electing two vice-chairpersons and a rapporteur.

“The NDC’s Presidency is keen to decide on the matter as soon as possible to help the Working Group to continue its work satisfactorily,” said Al-Atwani.
