NDC working group committees fan out, visit with gov’t officials

On Saturday, the NDC’s Rights and Freedoms Working Group selected the members who will participate in the group’s first stage of field visits to public and private organizations in Aden, Hodeida and the capital city of Sana’a.

Also on Saturday, the group’s committee on special rights visited the Health Ministry, the Aman Organization for the Blind and the Handicapped Organization.

Separately, the Military and Security Working Group’s committee on army-building foundations visited the Defense Ministry. There, they were acquainted with the responsibilities of the ministry’s moral guidance department.

In terms of field visits further afield, the state-building committee – part of the working group with the same name - held meetings with local government officials, academics, politicians and other figures in Ibb governorate.

At the meeting with Governor Ahmed Abdullah Al-Hajri and officials from various of Ibb’s districts, the committee members discussed issues concerned with the local system of governance, justice and the protection of freedoms.

Meanwhile the Good Governance Working Group’s anti-corruption committee visited the Public Works and Roads Ministry.
