A number of NDC members staged a demonstration on Sunday to demand that nominations for leadership positions at academic institutions be made legal and transparent. 

Many of the protesting members held up placards with appeals for President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi to approve a legal and transparent nomination system for university president and college dean positions across Yemen.

They also called on Hadi to take action to halt current nomination processes for Yemeni universities.
