On Tuesday, members from the NDC’s Southern Issue Working Group listened as an Al-Rashad Party representative delivered the party’s conception of the issue’s main components.
The Rashad Party representative stated that the issue had political, economic and social dimensions. He said that widespread instances of injustice, exclusion and the incitement of conflicts all contributed to the political dimension; meanwhile, wrongful terminations of thousands of southern military and civil employees made up the social dimension. Bad economic and political policies - including the illegal confiscation of properties and the misuse of national resources made up the economic dimension, according to the party representative.
The National Democratic Coalition also presented its conception of the southern issue’s components.
The coalition’s representative said issue’s components were part and parcel of the nation’s problems, which included political conflicts, economic crises, rights violations and social injustices.
