A team from the NDC’s Rights and Freedoms Working Group has met with political party representatives in Hodeida governorate. During a meeting on Tuesday, the NDC members were acquainted with the local roles of political parties and civil society organizations.

Representatives also delivered presentations on violations against citizens in Tihama people and the causes of problems which exist there. At the same time, they implored the NDC members to pay attention to issues in Tihama.

Separately, a team from the NDC’s Army and Security Working Group met with Marine commanders and other officials at a base on the Red Sea.

The team discussed challenges which face the Marines and Coastguard and listened to visions of how the Yemen’s coastal defense could be developed amid multiple sea-based national security threats.
