The NDC's Southern Issue Working Group held a session on Sunday for the purpose of allowing members from other working groups present their understandings of problems in southern Yemen.

With Southern Issue Working Group Chairman Mohammad Ali Ahmad overseeing the session, the group listened as representatives, such as Ansar Allah’s Mahmoud Al-Juneid, made presentations on the topic.

The team also listened as Amani Ma’akhathi presented perspectives on behalf of female NDC members and Naser Sharif and Nadia Al-Akhram delivered presentations on behalf of so-called independent youth conference members.

The Southern Issue Working Group concluded its session by listening to Ali Hassan Bahaider convey community service organizations’ perspectives on the southern issue.

The group discussed these viewpoints and agreed on Monday as a deadline for other segments and political parties to present their respective understandings. Group members also agreed to form a small committee to summarize and review the various presentations.
