Families of slain men appeal for NDC activities to resume

20 May 2013 /

The families of the two young men who were slain in Yemen’s capital last week have issued an appeal to NDC members to resume participation conference activities.

In a letter which was sent to the NDC Secretariat General on Wednesday, the decision to make the appeal came after they had learned that one of the suspects in the murder of Hassan Aman and Khaled Al-Khateeb had been arrested by authorities.

The families thanked all NDC members for their solidarity and interactions with the victims’ relatives.

On Saturday, the NDC Presidential Board suspended NDC activities to allow the members to protest and express their condemnation of the crime.

In their letter, the two families wrote “We want to help the NDC members do their job perfectly and according to schedule, to build a future for us and generations to come.”
