Members of the NDC's Sa’ada Issue Working Group gave their approval to four main points in a final summary of the issue’s root causes.
So far, the group’s members have given their approval to half of the eight main points which have been raised by political parties and societal groups at the NDC.
The four points which have so far been agreed upon as root causes of the Sa’ada wars and other problems are state failure, poor development, external meddling, and disharmony among religious sects.
According to the Group's bylaws, four points which the group members were unable to agree upon were referred to the NDC’s Consensus Committee.
Among the working group members, the controversial points included the absence of a national partnership, a policy of ‘exclusion’, conflict incitement, and media biases.
