
NDC teams met with youth and female representatives in Aden, Abyan and Lahj governorates on Tuesday.
The meeting dealt with issues of particular concern for young people and women, including violence, drug use and economic, social and political challenges.
Youth representatives wondered aloud how child recruits could have made it into the army and spoke out against discrimination it terms of the salaries which military institutions provide to different people and groups.
The matters of revenge-inspired violence and human rights violations in Lahj were also discussed.
Teams composed of members from the Army and Security, Independence of Special Entities, National Issues and Transitional Justice, and Development Working Groups are are currently visiting Aden.
