Members of the NDC’s State-Building Working Group have heard summarized ‘visions’ of Yemen’s future state identity. Among the various categories which are understood to fall under the term ‘identity’ are religion, language, national identity, and citizenship equality.

At its meeting on Wednesday, the members also heard summarized visions on the matters of Yemen’s state structure; the transitional period; the authority of state institutions; federalism; and the distribution of resources.

Other subjects under discussion were governance systems, electoral systems, administrative processes, and legislative and judicial authorities.

Summarized visions were based on visions which were previously provided by political party representatives to the working group members.

Finally, the members discussed and approved a final report on the group’s activities over the past two months.
