On Saturday, members of the NDC’s National issues and Transitional Justice Working Group approved a final report on group activities over the past two months.

In order to reach the consensus necessary for final approval, particular items – including the principles of independence for special entities and legislation on social and environmental issues – had to be amended.

The report called for complete independence for media and supervisory institutions. A further point recommended that the civil service abide by standards of transparency and neutrality.
