NDC Secretary General Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak has briefed United Nations Special Advisor to Yemen Jamal Benomar on NDC’s activities on Sunday evening. Among the subjects that Benomar focused upon were field visits in Sana’a and other governorates.

He told Benomar, “The field visits by the NDC members covered most of Yemen’s cities and focused on meetings with a wide variety of societal and political groups.”

bin Mubarak said five of the nine NDC’s Working Groups had submitted final reports on first session activities, and also that four others were finalizing their reports.

Benomar said the UN was closely monitoring the activities and would continue to support them.

“I hope the NDC will emerge with outcomes that meet with the aspirations of the Yemeni people,” he said.
