On Monday, the NDC’s Southern Issue Working Group approved its final report on its activities from April 1 to June 1. Group members also formed a committee to prepare the working group’s executive plan for the NDC’s second session.

Meanwhile, the group committees which have been tasked with summarizing conceptions of the southern issue’s key elements and ‘roots’ moved closer to finalizing their tasks. The committees’ reports will be presented at the NDC’s second plenary meeting later this month.

Group member Muhammad Salim Al-Shadadi criticized the committees’ “slowness” in completing their tasks and stated that “Political maneuverings may affect the ability to resolve the country’s key issues.”
